There were two (2) training and learning objectives that these meetings had:
1) Patrick K. Lynch, CBET, CCE, HIT Pro/PW, CPHIMS, Healthcare Technology Management Specialist will be presenting a special program on Information Technology (IT) Certification for Biomeds and HTM Professionals. As we all know, the CE and IT fields are becoming one and Pat will be discussing some of the details surrounding this combining and merging movement and presenting some resources that are available to assist Biomeds and HTM Professionals with obtaining their IT Certification.

2) In this segment of the meeting we will be discussing the Future Directions for OCEA Ohio Clinical Engineering Association. Your association has had it’s ups and downs over the last few years and it is time to determine where you want it to go and what you want it to be doing. Several of the Operations Committee Members are planning their retirement in 2012 and new thinkers and participants are needed to continue making OCEA a happening organization. We will be conducting some serious planning and talking about where this organization should be headed. A part of this process included reviewing the answers to the 2012 Survey that was conducted.
