A Web Conference Presented by ECRI Institute
Wednesday, June 13, 2012 @ 1:00 pm EDT

So, you’ve downloaded our annual Top 10 Health Technology Hazards list, which highlights dangers from clinical alarms, radiation exposure, and medication errors from infusion devices. But now you’re not sure where to start—we’re here to help.

Now in its 5th year of publication, ECRI Institute’s annual Top 10 hazards list is a comprehensive report designed to raise awareness of the potential dangers associated with the use of medical devices and systems.  The list features the top 10 health technology hazards that warrant critical attention by hospitals and other healthcare organizations.  However, assessing how to prevent these incidents is a challenge.

ECRI Institute’s June 13, 2012 web conference, “You’ve Read Our Top Ten Hazards List – Now What?” will review the 2012 list and explain how your facility can prevent these hazards.  Participants will also be given a unique opportunity to suggest their own hazards for next year’s list.
Presenters will:

- Review the Top 10 Health Technology Hazards
- Discuss how to minimize these hazards from occurring
- Give real-world tips for prevention
- Offer recommendations on how to mitigate vulnerability if a hazard is identified as a high-risk concern

Moderator:
James P. Keller, Jr, MS, Vice President
Health Technology Evaluation and Safety, ECRI Institute

Presenters:
